A very open ended question that I am throwing here....Can the forum put forward some ideas on how should someone who belongs to the great Indian pool of software professionals differentiate his/her profile? I mean, almost everyone has a promotion(SE to Senior SE) to boast of, experience of working outside of India, an association with a decent brand name, some social service work here and there etc etc....
Writing a good essay helps, but I feel that the Indian profile described above has become so common that ever if you package it beautifully, it might not work. My opinion, you are free to disagree...
So, what can we do to differentiate?
